WHY WE FOLLOW SOUND
CurioPureMelody was created to restore focused auditory awareness to our relationship with coastlines. Modern coastal tourism tends to treat the sea as a visual postcard, neglecting the complex acoustic ecosystems unfolding along the surf line.
By connecting wave physics, hydrophone engineering, and field craft, we hope to assist listeners, surfers, and bioacousticians in decoding the voices of the tide.
FIELD TRUTH OVER ARTIFICIAL SWEETENING
Many nature audio recordings commercially distributed today are aggressively sanitized. Low-end rumble is scooped away, natural insect or bird calls are pasted into ocean tracks, and artificial stereo widening plugins warp the spatial geometry of the shore.
We advocate for documentary audio integrity: presenting the natural power, grit, and acoustic quirks of shorelines exactly as they vibrate in nature. When an Atlantic storm sends 40 Hz ground rumble through granite bedrock, that kinetic impact belongs in the recording.
THE THREE PILLARS OF CURIOPUREMELODY
Ocean Acoustic Literacy
Empowering coastal communities and surfers to interpret ocean state, wave period, and coastal changes through attentive listening and sound analysis.
Ethical Field Recording
Advocating low-impact field craft that avoids stressing nesting birds, trampling fragile dune systems, or introducing foreign matter into intertidal zones.
Open Acoustic Documentation
Maintaining an open, transparent, dependency-free reference guide that is lightweight, fast-loading, and completely accessible without trackable commercial frameworks.
